The Triune God — The Uncreated Creator

We worship one God who exists eternally in three Persons:
HaAv (the Father), Yeshua ha Mashiach (the Son), and Ruach ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit).

This is the Triune God — the Uncreated Creator. He alone is eternal, self-existent, and the source of all life. There is no one like Him.

  • HaAv — the Fountain of all being, the Father of mercies.
  • Yeshua ha Mashiach — the only begotten Son, the Word who became flesh, our Redeemer.
  • Ruach ha Kodesh — the Holy Spirit, the Breath of God who hovered over the waters, empowers, convicts, and indwells believers.

The three Persons are one in essence, one in purpose, and one in glory — forever united in perfect love. This mystery is revealed most clearly in the life, death, and resurrection of Yeshua, who came to bring us to the Father by the power of the Spirit.

We use these Hebrew titles not to complicate, but to draw closer to the living God of Israel who has revealed Himself to us. Whether you call Him the Triune God, the Trinity, or simply God, the heart of the matter is this:

He is the Uncreated Creator who made us, loves us, and calls us into fellowship with Himself through Yeshua ha Mashiach.

HaAv – The Father
Yeshua ha Mashiach – The Son
Ruach ha Kodesh – The Holy Spirit

  • HaAv (or Av / Abba) Hah-AHV (HaAv = The Father; Abba = intimate “Daddy” / Papa)
  • Yeshua ha Mashiach Yeh-SHOO-ah hah Mah-SHEE-ach (Yeshua = Jesus; ha Mashiach = the Messiah/Anointed One)
  • Ruach ha Kodesh ROO-ach hah Koh-DESH (Ruach = Spirit/Breath; ha Kodesh = the Holy)

Key Attributes: Creator ex nihilo, Incomparable, Unchanging, Ever the Same

God is utterly unique. He alone is the uncreated Creator who brings all things into existence from nothing. No one and nothing is like Him. He does not change and remains forever the same. These truths anchor everything we believe about Him and guard against false ideas of gods who evolve or depend on something outside themselves.

1. Maker of Something from Nothing (Creation ex nihilo)

  • God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing by His word alone (Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 11:3, Psalm 33:6,9).
  • He needs no pre-existing materials, no helpers, and no prior conditions. Everything that exists depends on Him; He depends on nothing.
  • This sets Him apart from every created being and every false god concept. Only the true God can speak and bring reality into being.
  • New Testament connection: All things were created through Yeshua and for Him (John 1:1-3, Colossians 1:16-17). He is the Agent of creation.

2. No One or Nothing Like Him (Incomparable / Unique)

  • “To whom will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare with Him?” (Isaiah 40:18, also 40:25, 46:5).
  • There is none beside Him — no equal, no partner, no rival (Deuteronomy 4:35, Isaiah 43:10-11, 44:6-8, 45:5,21).
  • He is the only uncreated being. All others (angels, spiritual powers, humans) are created and dependent.
  • This directly confronts any teaching of multiple gods or beings who become gods. YHWH alone is God from eternity to eternity.

3. Unchanging (Immutable)

  • God does not change in His being, character, promises, or purposes (Malachi 3:6, James 1:17, Psalm 102:25-27, Hebrews 13:8).
  • His knowledge, wisdom, holiness, love, and justice remain perfectly consistent. He does not improve, learn, or grow.
  • This gives us rock-solid confidence: His word stands forever, and His character is reliable.

4. Always the Same (Eternal Sameness / Faithfulness)

  • From everlasting to everlasting, He is God (Psalm 90:2).
  • He is the same yesterday, today, and forever — especially revealed in Yeshua (Hebrews 13:8).
  • His faithfulness never fails. What He decrees, He performs. His love for His people and His hatred of evil are consistent with His holy nature.

Bulls-Eye Application
These attributes protect the gospel. Because God is the uncreated Creator with no equals, salvation comes only through His provision in Yeshua — not human effort or progression. Because He is unchanging, His promises of forgiveness and new life are certain. We can rest in the One who made us, knows us completely, and remains faithful.

Pilgrim’s Progress Reflections on God’s Nature as Uncreated Creator

  • The Wicket Gate & Evangelist’s Direction: Christian is directed to keep his eyes on the shining light and run to the narrow gate. This pictures the unchanging, reliable God who provides one true way. There is no other gate — just as there is no other God like Him.

  • Burden Falling at the Cross: The heavy load of sin drops only when Christian looks to the cross. This shows the Creator’s perfect plan of redemption through Yeshua — planned from eternity, unchanging, and sufficient. No self-effort or other “gods” can lift the burden.

  • Mr. Worldly Wiseman’s Wrong Path: The temptation to seek relief through law or human effort (Mount Sinai) fails because it ignores the true, incomparable God who saves by grace alone. Only the uncreated Creator can remove sin’s guilt.

  • Help in the Slough of Despond: When Christian sinks, Help pulls him out. This reflects God’s faithful, unchanging character — He does not abandon His own even in the mire of doubt. His rescue is sure because He is always the same.

Bridge for Conversations
When talking with friends who see God differently, start with wonder at creation from nothing and His uniqueness. It naturally leads to “There is no one like our God — and He has made a way for us through His Son.”
